Joint Sealing

  • <a href='' ></a>

Sealing expansion and construction joints are commonly used between external walling and cladding, around windows and doors, on roofs and terraces, in parapets, retaining walls and between precast elements as well as concrete aprons, warehouse and factory floors, aircraft taxi ways, concrete & brickwork buildings.

Joint sealing is important to prevent the ingress of water and moisture, dirt and other contaminants into joints which could compromise the structural integrity of the joint.

Various polymers and resins are used for joint sealing, the choice and suitability of which to use is determined by the circumstances and differs from project to project. Joint bandage systems are also used to seal joints in water retaining structures such as reservoirs, dams, water and sewage treatment plants.

Joint sealing is a specialised process that should be undertaken by skilled specialists such as Spalling Worx.
