ABOUT SPALLING WORX

Spalling Worx prides itself, in not only looking at REDECORATING a structure, but in looking at REFURBISHMENT of the asset, by taking a close look at the structure.

To this end, we assess the damage caused by moisture and chemicals which ultimately leads to corrosion and take the necessary steps to specify the correct repair required to rectify the problem.

We work closely with our suppliers. They look at each project individually and lay out a specification that is unique to an individual structure. They also do regular site visits, to ensure that the specification has been adhered to.

We have invested hundreds of thousands of Rands in equipment, especially used in the spalling and corrosion repairs arena. This equipment includes diamond grinders, chippers, blasting equipment, spraying equipment and gunite machines.

We work closely with Structural engineers, who we invite on a regular basis to assist in writing the specifications and monitoring of the sites.

The extent of corrosion is often not seen in its entirety, but only the tip of the iceberg shows up. It is critical to maintain assets.
